The Ascendant Bladebearer is a type of Hive Knight and Taken Captain encountered during the Court of Blades activity.

Gameplay

The Ascendant Bladebearers will appear during the Sharpen Augmentation of the Court of Blades activity. Each Bladebearer is equipped with an Immunity Shield that renders them invulnerable they will initially remain motionless. The Hive variant is located within a Shield produced by a Hive Crystal, while the Taken Captain variant is situated in a Taken Blight. To shatter the Bladebearer's protection, the Guardian must enter into the respected area and destroy the Hive Crystal or the core of the Blight. Once this source is destroyed, the Bladebearers Immunity Shield will deactivate and it will become mobile. Defeating a Bladebearer allows the Guardian to retrieve a Cleaver that they can utilize to pierce the boss's shield.
