Overload Taken Hobgoblins are former Vex defense and construction proxies that have been Taken and granted heightened combat efficiency by the Darkness.

Gameplay

Like their minor counterpart, the Overload Taken Hobgoblin will often stray further from the carnage and provide long distance support for their allies, and unleash a barrage of bolts at the enemy who first damage them. However, thanks to their heightened ability regeneration, the Taken Hobgoblin will continuously conjure a bunch of these barrages that not only target the opponent that struck it first, but also the enemies around them. To mitigate the threat of the Overload Taken Hobgoblin, the players should utilize Anti-Overload abilities, such as the mods from the Seasonal Artifact, to disrupt the Hobgoblin and disable its ability and health regeneration.

Trivia

• The Overload Taken Hobgoblin has a similar appearance to the Barrier Hobgoblin, because of this, it's possible that the Taken have Champions, is due to them taking former Champions of other species.
  • However due to the debut of Unstoppable Taken Phalanxes, the Taken must be just utilizing Phantasmal energy as the rest of the species. Due to current known Legions, don't carry Phalanx-class Champions.
