You can fire Coldheart in different ways, although they aren't built into it. The first way you can fire it the way the coding made it: Continuously. By holding down your fire button "'Coldheart'" will fire a long continuous beam, but be careful of the recoil. Holding down the fire button will also cause it to overheat, so leave gaps between firing. This is useful against a line of enemies or for getting rid of a shield.

The second way you can fire it is in quick, short bursts. This is advisable if you are targeting a couple of enemies in close proximity to you. By firing short bursts you are eliminating most of the recoil and the risk of it overheating. The third and final way is longer bursts, this is like the second way but you'reven holding the trigger down longer. This type of firing is useful against targets who are athe low health that need a little help to die.

Coldheart is an Exotic Trace rifle in Destiny 2. It is available via pre-ordering Destiny 2, and will be available for all players on December 5, 2017. By firing short bursts you are eliminating most of the recoil and the risk of it overheating. The third and final way is longer bursts, this is like the second way but you'reven holding the trigger down longer. This type of firing is useful against targets who are at low health that need a little help to die. Remember Coldheart is an Exotic meaning if you didn't pre-order the game you might be waitingood a bit to get it. But don't worry, it's not as rare as The Last Word which is an Exotic Hand Cannon found in Destiny

Gameplay

Coldheart is able to project a steady beam that can be focused down upon targets. However, as it continues to be fired, it will become more unstable, making it necessary to allow the weapon to cool down and reset itself after use.

Weapon Perks

  • Cold Fusion - This weapon shoots a steady cold fusion-powered laser.
  • Extended Barrel - Weighty barrel extension.
    • Increases range
    • Decreases handling speed
  • Enhanced Battery - Strong battery life.
    • Increases magazine size
  • Longest Winter - Coldheart's laser does exponentially more damage the longer it remains on a target.
  • Hand-Laid Stock - This weapon is optimized for recoil control.
    • Increases stability[1]

Weapon Mods

Sub-Zero - Equip this Weapon Ornament to change the appearance of Coldheart.

Lore Tab

LEVERAGES LIQUID FUEL VEINS AS SELF-COOLANT TO KEEP ONBOARD PROJECTION GENERATOR AT BITING SUB-ZERO TEMPERATURES.

The Golden Age. Our shining history. The height from which we fell. Once, everything we had was borrowed from the past. Since the Collapse we have struggled to reclaim even a scrap of what our ancestors took for granted. Over the years, Omolon has perfected the art of salvaging Golden Age technologies and repurposing them into effective Guardian weaponry.

But Coldheart is something new.

We didn't find Coldheart. We didn't adapt it or recycle it. We created it. Its liquid ammo, which doubles as its coolant, is a game-changer on its own-- never mind Coldheart's first-of-its-kind laser-powered trace weaponry.

With Coldheart, we at Omolon are saying: we want more than to simply reclaim the Golden Age. We want to surpass it.
