— Asher Mir[1]

Asher Mir is an Awoken Warlock of the Last City.

Biography

His personality was prickly, as Ikora Rey was noted to have been exasperated with him, making Eris Morn regard him as a kindred spirit. Shortly before Eris' disappearance he was hospitalized, the source of his sickness being a Vex arm that he fashioned for himself to replace his natural one, apparently inducing him into a coma. His Ghost was likewise augmented with Vex technology; it was noted to have an unblinking red eye, like a Goblin's.[1]

He and Eris had a close friendship, as she visited him in the hospital before she vanished.[1]

He later recovered, and worked closely with Guardian forces during the Red War.

Trivia

Eris Morn calls him a "Gensyn Scribe", a rank or even another name. Gensyn Lisp is a programming language, with "gensyn" short for generate symbol. In this case, Asher's title means he has a new name, speaking to his catatonia from submersion in Vex technology.[2] Alternatively, "gensyn" is a Danish word meaning "reunion".[3]
