The Friendly Harpy is a unique Vex Harpy unit, which as its name implies, is non-hostile to Guardian forces.

Harpy of Europa[edit]
The Harpy is found in the Nexus in Europa, and can only be seen if you have the Strange Signal effect by defeating the Wyvern Venator. It observed the Guardian to learn more about the Light and Darkness in the form of Stasis.
Harpy of Override[edit]
The Harpy beeps in Morse Code "Assistant," implying Asher Mir is trapped within the Vex Network as the Guardian responds to contain the Vex there after Lakshmi-2 opened the portal. They override the domain and stop the Vex incursion within the Last City and it disappears. The same Harpy was spotted at a cave in the Gulch at the EDZ following The Witness's assault on Earth and the Guardian's operations to rescue prisoners captured by the Shadow Legion. Mithrax discovers that Asher Mir is allowing the Guardian into the Avalon domain to share some knowledge he learned since he merged with the Vex and Io disappeared. His hologram allows the Guardian to retrieve Vexcalibur upon his defeating nemesis Brakion so they and Mithrax can uncover more secrets of the domain with him. He share data pertaining to Specimen Mu, Specimen Iota, Specimen Gamma, and the Black Fleet. Upon defeating Brakion again, he shows them the results of his research: a simulation of The Veil. He then disappears back in to the Vex Domain to uncover more secrets of the Vex.
