Data Safeguards are a variant of Fallen Tracer Shanks, Servitors, and Heavy Shanks employed by Kalliks, Baron of House Dusk.

Gameplay

Data Safeguards are encountered when the Guardians approach the staircase leading to the Well of Flame and engage with Kalliks. To lower the Fallen barrier blocking the entrance into the well, they must slay the Safeguards to retrieve the nine pieces of Fallen data they need. In order to lure out the Safeguards, the Guardians must defeat large amounts of Fallen arriving from their skiffs. They will originally appear in a group of three the first two encounters, consisting of two Tracer Shanks and a Servitor. Once six pieces of data have been retrieved, two Heavy Shank variants will appear alongside a Data Safeguard Servitor. Slaying the final two Heavy Shanks and the Servitor will allow the Guardians to retrieve the data they need to delve into the Well of Flame to pursue Kalliks.
