An Ascendant Hive is a title given to those special Hive warriors who command legions of warriors and earned the right to enter the Hive gods' Ascendant realms through the killing-logic. Some Ascendant Hive possess Oversouls in which they separate their souls from their bodies and become resistant to death. These Oversouls may be used offensively (e.g. the Dreadnaught) or defensively (e.g. the Däl sisters).
