After Wu Ming was judged worthy by the Nine, the Emissary was sent to present him with a gift. She arrived aboard his ship The Derelict and prevented a Taken Captain he had summoned to deal with a Shadow of Yor who came to kill from turning on Wu Ming. Upon calling him Dredgen, Wu Ming declared that was not his name any longer and that he went by "Drifter" now.
