Aesti are heavily armored specialist pyro units equipped with more powerful Cabal Magma weaponry.
Overview[edit]
Their time in the shadows of the Sol System have taught the Neon Wraiths a valuable lesson on the entrenched positions of their more particularly troublesome enemies such as the Fallen and Hive. Seeking to remedy this shortcoming, they developed new technologies and weapons that would make cleaning out their dens and nests far more easier, soon giving rise to the Aestus elite units. These single unit army troopers would often be deployed to sweep entire bunkers in flame or even asphyxiate their opponents with the air hungry flames of their weapons should they require it. During the Wraith Skirmishes, they would be far more instrumental in their widespread invasion of the Sol System.
Gameplay[edit]
These heavily units are an unholy lovechild between a Colossus and Incendior in terms of gameplay. While heavily armored, these Aesti will attempt to close the gap with their opponents, unleashing a massive cone of fire in front of them in the hopes of catching their targets within their unleashed torrent of magmatic flame. They can also launch tracking and arcing Rocket shells fit with a magma payload that will coat their impact site in powerful and burning fire. If a target happens to be too close to the Aestus, they are capable of unleashing a far more powerful version of a Compression Blast, sending their opponents flying backwards; later attempts while the ability is recharging will instead be met with an area of effect quake attack. Much like their inferior Incendior counterparts, their head is immune to critical damage, with it now being allocated to the backpack on their backs which, after enough damage is sustained, will result in a far more violent explosion that will also coat the blast site in magma fire.
