Sho'oulth, Horror of Oryx is a Taken Centurion encountered in The Barrens, Scablands, Rubicon Wastes, and occasionally the Ishtar Commons during Taken Corruptions on Patrol Mars and Venus. Before he was Taken, Sho'oulth was a feared Cabal criminal on Mars. He is a weekly bounty given by Petra, and is a target of the Taken War questline.

Gameplay

Like all of the Taken Corruption Bosses, Sho'oulth appears only after three elite Taken commanders are killed. Sho'oulth fights like a normal Taken Centurion however with the tendency to hide behind his troops so he can deal damage while his foes are forced to deal with hoards of Taken Phalanxes, Centurions, Hobgoblins, Goblins, and even Taken Vandals and Captains if he is fought on Venus. Upon his defeat Sho'oulth drops a Reciprocal Rune and between 200 and 1000 Glimmer with the occasional Engram and the Taken retreat.

However if five minutes pass and Sho'oulth isn't defeated, he and his Taken forces retreat and no loot is earned.
