The Exclusion Zone is a territory on Mars, Meridian Bay,[1] controlled by the Cabal. Within the zone is the Dust Palace and Sand Eaters. It is possible something happened here that made it uninhabitable to humans, like the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. [2]
