The Athenaeum Worlds of the Cabal Empire are massive planetary repositories of knowledge and technology.[1] These vaults contained technology of terrifying potential, much of which belonged to species that the Cabal either assimilated into their empire or conquered. Such technology included "sentient anomalies", "thought-powered reality smashers", and "portable world-enders". However, after the loss of Torobatl and the vast majority of the Empire to Xivu Arath's Hive and Wrathborn forces, it is unknown whether the Cabal still control any Athenaeum Worlds.
