Undergrowth is a trenchwork of Vex defenses and floral growth found deep within the the Black Garden. First accessible during the Garden of Salvation Raid, the Guardian Fireteam tasked with investigating the Unknown Artifact's signal within the Black Garden had to defend the Vex Relays scattered within from Vex assault and draw out the Consecrated Mind, Sol Inherent from hiding, successfully goading the powerful Mind out and neutralizing it, allowing them to follow the signal further. The Guardian would return here as they and Nimbus would follow the trail of the Conceptual Mind, also encountering the Witness' Taken dispatched to destroy it before they could collect the Mind's data on the Black Heart and, by extension, The Veil.
