Thesiax, Resonance Array Safeguard is the second major encounter aboard Mercuite’s Pyramid ship. The encounter centers on regulating the Black Hole Generator’s power flow by manipulating obelisks while surviving multiple fail-state mechanics. The arena consists of a diamond-shaped chamber with four obelisks positioned at the cardinal points and a central platform where Thesiax remains for most of the encounter. Players acquire Sol’s Blessing by defeating Minotaurs. This buff allows shielded enemies attempting to sacrifice at obelisks to be eliminated and accelerates obelisk rotation. Preventing sacrifices is required to progress; successful sacrifices reverse obelisk rotation, and allowing too many results in a wipe. Sol’s Blessing may be dunked into an obelisk to advance rotation more quickly. However, excessive dunking destabilizes the system. If Sol’s Blessing is dunked too many times, a Subjugator spawns and begins charging a different obelisk. If the Subjugator completes its charge, the fireteam wipes unless it is defeated in time. Throughout the encounter, Thesiax periodically deposits Voltaic Overflow in diagonal alcoves. Voltaic Overflow does not damage players directly but acts as a strict execution check. Every instance must be collected; leaving even a single instance uncollected results in a wipe. Each player may only collect one instance at a time. Once an obelisk is fully rotated, Thesiax can be lured to it, causing the Aegis relic to spawn in the center of the arena. Upon reaching the obelisk, Thesiax prepares Variable Elimination, a line-of-sight–based annihilation attack. Variable Elimination only activates when players enter Thesiax’s line of sight. Entering too early triggers a short kill timer, resulting in a wipe if the team is not shielded. To safely counter the attack, a player must retrieve the Aegis and shield the team. Once shielded, players intentionally enter Thesiax’s line of sight, forcing Variable Elimination to fire. The Aegis reflects the attack back at Thesiax, destroying its shield and beginning the damage phase. If players fail to bait Variable Elimination in time after Thesiax reaches the obelisk, the obelisk is expended without granting a damage phase, and the encounter resets with fewer available obelisks. If all four obelisks are used and Thesiax is still alive, it enrages and wipes the fireteam.
Trivia[edit]
- Thesiax is larger than other Devastator Harpies like for example; Sinister Harpy.
