Subject: Regarding the Live Fire Tests…

Helga, I know what I'm doing. The successful development of my previous series of weapons was a sign. It was proof that I was the leading mind behind the weapon development team, and as such, I have the ability to make something even better.

But, even more importantly, I must prepare for impending threats, and that preparation needs to be greater than Meyrin's plan allows for. Nobody knows what that threat is, but I do know it will come, and its impact will spare no one. So all I can do is make my bet and ensure that no step has been overlooked, that every possible danger has been accounted for. That is why I insisted on leaving. We shouldn't be wasting any more time trying to convince one another and fighting for greater budgets.

For the past week, my team has been conducting more defensive live fire tests. We discovered that energy pulses barely make a dent in heavy armor, which calls for a weapon that is capable of piercing such protections, but also easily wielded and accurate.

Our weapons should be usable by anyone. This is not the crazed ambition of an arms dealer, but the vision of humanity united. The day will come when our guns, our technology, benefit all of humankind. You may be hesitant to accept such a radical idea, but please believe me when I say this is a necessary step.

Just as Odin once sent the Valkyries to rally the spirits and expand Valhalla's army in anticipation of Ragnarök, so too must we arm the world with all manner of weapons. Next, we must forge our Gungnir, capable of piercing all armor.

Hopefully, this could help you understand why I left. I wish you all the best of luck. You'll need it.
