Osiris was an old Warlock of the city who disappeared. He studied the Hive, in particular prophesizing the coming of Oryx.
While his current activities or whereabouts are unknown, the Trials of Osiris is a Crucible event in his name, which takes place on Mercury.[2]
Trivia
The faction is presumably named after the god of the same name, the Egyptian god of the afterlife, the underworld and the dead.
