In order to start the mission, you need to walk into 6 total vex cubes to generate a passcode.
In order to start the mission for the first time, you need to collect 6 [[vex]] cubes in The Gulch ([[EDZ]]) to reveal the passcode and unlock the beginning of the mission. The mission can then be activated from inside a portal inside a cave on the top right of the area. After completing this mission for the first time, players will then be able to access this mission at any time from an icon on the [[EDZ]] map.  
Once in you will need to fallow asher mir and go through holes  until you reach a purple vex domain.
This is a puzzle where you need to shoot vex oracles in specific order depending on the shape to progress, there is no downside to getting  one wrong.


After this just move until you reach the first boss.
Once inside, jump off the cliff in front of you into a chute. You will land in a small room with two doors that constantly open and close. Go through one of them, and jump onto a small platform on your right. From there, jump straight up, aiming towards the small green light at the top of the room. Once you get up to the green light, you will be prompted to activate the node. Do this, then drop down to the bottom and head to the ledge at the other end of the room. Go in either direction, and you will encounter two [[Vex]] Harpies. Go past them, and there will be a small slit in the wall at the halfway point. Once you enter here, follow the path and drop down the elevator to the first encounter.

You will need to kill headless goblins to get motes to protect yourself.
This encounter is very similar to a gambit match or the 3rd encounter of [[Garden of Salvation]]. Once you enter the arena, clear the first few enemies to begin the encounter. Vex Goblins and Hobgoblins will spawn in from the portals on the outer edge of the arena. Some of these Vex will already be damaged and headless, and upon killing them, they will drop at purple mote on the ground. The objective of this encounter is to collect motes from these headless Goblins, then deposit them into the spire in the middle of the arena. After depositing all the motes for that wave, a pit in the middle of the arena will open in order to save you from being killed by the wipe mechanic. Be careful, as two [[Wyvern]]s will spawn after depositing the motes. After the timer runs out for that wave, the middle of the arena will be sealed off and you will teleport to the next area.
The first phase is 8 then 10 then damage.


The second phase is 10 then 12 then damage.
You will need to deposit 8 motes the first time, then 10. After the second set of motes is deposited, a large [[Hydra]] boss will appear in addition to a wave of enemies. This boss has two phases, split into equally large chunks of its health. After you complete the first boss damage phase, you will need to gather 10 motes, then 12 in order to progress to the 2nd damage phase. Kill the headless goblins, collect the motes, then the second damage phase will begin. Nothing mechanical about the encounter changes between the first and second damage phases.
 
After killing him you will need to jump across a chasm.
 
Then start platforming until you reach the final boss.

In order to damage him you need to kill a daemon then do the shape puzzle then damage.
In order to damage this boss, you need to kill a "Daemon" ([[Vex]] [[Hydra]]). This will then spawn the same shapes from the first two encounters in a random location. You will need to complete 3 of these combinations in order to reach the next damage phase.


Do this 1 more time and then just kill him normally on the 3rd phase.

//NODE.OVRD.AVALON// is a secret Exotic Mission introduced in Season of Defiance and can be accessed in the European Dead Zone.
