The Might of Riven are a group of Taken Knights first seen in the Last Wish Raid. The Mights are Major Taken Knights uniquely armed with Cleavers, and they use their power to attempt to inhibit the Raid Fireteam's progress to Riven. They are seen in the Vault and Riven's Heart encounters. One of these Knights makes an appearance in the The Other Side Exotic Mission.
Gameplay[edit]
Mights of Riven fuse the melee prowess of Cleaver-wielding Knights with the Taken Burn their brethren are most famous for. In the Vault encounter, once an Eye of Riven is killed and their Taken Essence picked up, a Might of Riven (or 2 or 3, depending on how many essences were loaded into the Security Mechanism during a phase) will spawn in one of the three areas. The Might will rush towards the closest plate, and if it reaches it, will plant its sword inside, causing an overload that will kill all players. Killing the Mights is thus essential to the completion of the encounters.
Mights of Riven encountered elsewhere simply act as powerful enemies, and can be dealt with as one pleases.
