The Takedown within the Abhorrent Depths is a Hive Takedown released in Season of the Risen. After the defeat of Savathûn, the Witch Queen and her Lucent Brood, hive forces of the Abhorrent Brood have quickly begun to rally in the depths of the Cosmodrome.
Overview[edit]
Shortly after the events of Season of the Risen, Hive forces of the Abhorrent Brood have begun to amass in the depths of the Cosmodrome. This provoked the attention of the Guardians who looked to investigate the brood's resurgence. However they would learn that the Abhorrent Brood seeks to make an alliance with the Weavers of Sorrow, another Hive brood and servants of Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker.
Like all of it's predecessors, the Takedown is filled to the brim with challenging opponents and known for it's unforgiving checkpoint system, only providing 3 checkpoints: the beginning, after defeating Xodron, and after defeating Volkariss for those who embarked on the Shadow's Intent Exotic Quest.
