Dark Ether is a corrupted variant of Ether used and manufactured by the Scorn. Claimed to have been infused with the Darkness itself, this substance is seemingly the source of the Scorn's strange powers. Most notably, the Scorn Baron known as the Fanatic can resurrect any dead Eliksni who have previously ingested the substance, including himself.
Repeated resurrection appears to have a physical toll on the user, leading to progressive growth of tumor-like growths and increasing mental derangement. Eventually, Eliksni who have undergone many resurrections will become Screebs, mindless creatures who throw themselves at enemies and self-destruct in a blast of Dark Ether.
