Well Protectors are a variant of Scorn Abominations that can appear in Riven's Lair and the Coil.

Gameplay

The Well Protectors are encountered during the Enthymeme and Chiasmus missions and encounters, standing on the Well and have an immunity shield making them immune to damage. They will spawn upon the beginning of the encounter against the Locus of Subjugation, and when Elikaa, the Pale Rot has lost half of its health. Once players kill an Mephitic Host and receive the Ephemeral Virus, which lasts for 29 seconds, it will become vulnerable, allowing players to kill it. Once the Well Protector is killed, players must step on the Well in time before the Ephemeral Virus runs out and reaches zero or they will be killed.
