The '''Remnant Iron Lords''' are mutated [[Human]]s and [[Exo]]s that are infused and warped by [[SIVA]] to defend [[Site 6]] in the event of an opposing force breaching the replication complex.

==Overview==
Remnant Iron Lords were formerly [[Iron Lords]] who, upon being sealed in Site 6 by [[Jolder]],<ref>'''Bungie (2016/9/20)''', ''[[Destiny]]: [[Rise of Iron]] - [[The Plaguelands]]''</ref> were captured and immobilized by SIVA. The SIVA would then spend the years between the [[Battle of Site-6]] and the events of [[Rise of Iron]] mutating and transforming the bodies of the captured Iron Lords into monstrosities used for its own preservation.<ref name="Tomb"/>

Upon [[The Guardian|the Guardian]] breaching Site 6 and finding the self-destruct sequence, its self-preservation programs activate and the body of [[Felwinter]] is yanked into the ceiling, dropping an [[Iron Battle Axe]] he held in his final moments. Moments later, the [[Remnant of Felwinter]] descends, intent on preserving the very complex its host wished to seize all those years ago. However, it would fail and be felled, leading to the other two Remnants, [[Remnant of Gheleon]], and [[Remnant of Jolder]] to be activated well as [[Devil Splicers|Devil Splicer]] reinforcements entering the complex to assist. Despite this desperate final stand, the complex's defenses would prove inadequate in defeating the next generation of Iron Lords and the agony of the Battle of Site 6 would finally be laid to rest.<ref name="Tomb">'''Bungie (2016/9/20)''', ''[[Destiny]]: [[Rise of Iron]] - [[The Iron Tomb]]''</ref> It is unknown if the three Guardians were already dead and SIVA was merely piloting their bodies, or if they still lived in some form of half life.

==Gameplay==
Appearing exclusively as the final bosses of [[The Iron Tomb]], Remnant Iron Lords are hybrid units who can easily swap from constant SIVA gattling gunfire harassment and zone denial with their SIVA Launcher, to shambling into close range for a quick dangerous fist slam attack. Whenever one appears, it has SIVA shielding around it that prevents all damage from reaching it. Only the combined sharp edge and melting flame of an [[Iron Battle Axe]]'s persistent damaging can break the shielding. Once the shield is broken, the Remnant is able to be damaged from any source. They also deal persistent damage in close range due to a SIVA swarm constantly swarming around them.

== Trivia ==
*The Remnants are one of the first non-alien enemies that the player has to fight and were the first fightable [[Lightbearer]]s.
**They are also still the only fightable NPC [[Guardian]]s.
*Felwinter's model is the same as Jolder's and Gheleon's, despite being an [[Exo]] and not human along with Ghost saying that they're human even though Felwinter is Exo.
*The Remnants were called "Iron Monstrosity (Name here)", "SIVA Monstrosity (Name Here)", and "SIVA Mutant" during the early stages of Rise of Iron's development.{{Citation needed}}
