Noble Devil Walkers are Fallen Walkers belonging to the House of Devils. They are encountered at the Divide in the Cosmodrome, when the Destroy the Fallen Walker Public Event is active.[1]
Gameplay[edit]
When the Fallen Walker public event begins, a Ketch and its fleet will fly above head, then a Skiff will arrive and deploy the Noble Devil Walker.
The Noble Devil Walker is heavily armed with a weapon for every scenario such as a close range Arc repeater turret that functions similarly to a Dreg's Shock Pistol, but with double firing speed and far higher accuracy. An Arc missile pod which after a brief charge with a distinct whirring noise, will fire a four round burst of large Arc missiles that deal high damage and splash damage. These will usually be its most used armament as it can be effective at all ranges and charges independently of its other weaponry. An Arc shockwave no deal moderate damage and knockback close range attackers. And its most deadly weapon, a Solar laser cannon mounted on its top that, after a three second warm up and a red tracer showing exactly where it's aiming, will fire a fast and massive payload that is almost guaranteed to kill anything caught within its blast. It can also summon Pit Shanks out of its sides to help with support fire and to chase cover-prone opponents out of their hiding spots.
The Noble Devil Walker is heavily fortified and requires prioritization of its weak spots to deal damage fast enough to defeat it, these weak spots being its armored legs with a slit with an orange glow beneath it signifying the leg's eligibility to be crit. Once enough damage is dealt to a leg, the armor will be blasted off and it will stun the Noble Devil Walker, causing it to kneel and expose its core which is located where its neck would be and is also glowing bright orange. It will stay stunned like this for ten seconds before unleashing a blast of Arc energy that deals moderate damage and knocks all assailants away from it as it reactivates. Repeat this process until the Noble Devil Walker falls. Despite the legs continuing to have yellow numbers come off them after their armor is destroyed, these do not deal critical damage and its best to focus on its other appendages or weaponry unless all other weak points have been destroyed.
There are several weaknesses the Noble Devil Walker possesses. One of the most vital is that its missile salvo, located on the right side of its cannon, can be destroyed and its most consistently threatening attack and most reliable method of cleaning up kills, the missile pods, can be completely disabled. Another is that the Walker is weak at range and against cover, needing to rely on its Pit Shanks or other reinforcements to flush opponents out of these advantageous positions. The Walker at range can only use its laser cannon, which is slow and with enough movement area, easily avoided. Meanwhile against cover its only method to truly get kills is with the splash damage of its missile pods, which while it can clean up kills on weak enemies behind cover, does low enough damage to where it's not a threat on its own.
