A '''Major''' is a high-power combatant of any species or class. They can be distinguished by their yellow health bars and sometimes unique names. These enemies have more health and attack power than regular enemies, and may be equipped with [[Absorption Shield]]s their base counterparts lack. Majors often have names themed around the activity they appear in, like the "Deceived" enemies of [[Gambit]], while other times they are named like their [[Minor]] or Elite version. Some rare enemies only appear as Major or stronger units, like [[Tormentor]]s. However, some common reoccurring ones exist.

Common Cabal Majors are called Esteemed. In the [[Red Legion]], they can be identified by primarily golden armor. Among the [[Loyalists]], Majors maintain their name, but wear heavier armor with even more gold. In the [[Shadow Legion]], they wear white armor with gold highlights. The Red Legion and Shadow Legion also have special shielded division that appears in many activities, with different armor and always equipped with [[Absorption Shield]]s, referred to respectively as Blood Guard and Shadow Guard. In the [[Barant Imperium]], Majors are identified by adding geometrical designation patterns to their elite gray armor, and are referred to by adding Decurion after Imperium for most units, and Electi after Imperium for Colossi. Except for War Beasts, all Imperium Majors gain [[Absorption Shield|Ablative Armor]] regardless of difficulty.

Common Major Fallen are called Resolute. Eliksni of the [[House of Dusk]] are identifiable by their primarily dark gray armor with purple straps and golden highlights. In the [[House of Salvation]], Majors have tanish armors with brown fur pelts; blue capes and insignia. Mechanical units of both factions don't change in appearance, except for Dusk Brigs, whose Major variants have a their purple insignia turned to gold. Among the House of Exile, Major eliksni add more green details to their elite beige armor, while shanks invert the brightness of the beige sections of their elite versions, with Servitors remaining the same. Majors of the [[Pikers]] are called Engineer, except for Exploder Shanks which are called Mourned. Eliksni change their green cloaks and scarves to red, shanks invert the brightness of the beige sections of their elite versions, and servitors become a darker shade of beige.

In the [[Hidden Swarm]], the chitin on the lower body is more faded beige, while the upper body is a deep crimson. The Majors of the [[Grasp of Nokris]] were called Dread Unhallowed, and had even larger icy growths over their bodies. In the [[Lucent Brood]], they can be identified through their dark chitin with extensive white paintings.
