At one point, he engaged in an extramarital affair that resulted in the birth of Anastasia; Sylvie decided to raise the child as her own, but terrified the destructive behaviour she exhibited at a young age had been inherited from Clovis, kept her in the dark about her true lineage.

Clovis II was being genetically "advanced" by his father throughout his life, one such attempt intending to allow him to no longer require sleep.
