Vilici are a role of Psion soldiers trusted enough to command squads of Cabal.

Overview

Although a slave species in the Cabal hierarchy, some Psions can earn respect and a lofty position in their hierarchy, even amongst their military. These units would become a far more prominent role with innovations and developments amongst the Neon Wraiths, with these warriors taking up de facto Centurion roles or out right leaders amongst a file of Cabal legionnaires.

Gameplay

These units behave a lot like Psions would in combat, utilizing their jump packs to swiftly maneuver around their opponents and sometimes closes in for a melee. In addition to these standard mechanics, however, Vilici are also far more resilient than their standard counterparts and bear three new, different abilities as opposed to a standard Nova Rupture. Channeling Void energy, the Vilicus can hurl a ball of void energy to draw opponents into a damaging Collapsing Singularity, which can also be used to pull opponents into the open. Channeling Arc energy, the Vilicus can hurl a branching bolt of lighting that zigzags towards an opponent before impacting with a surface or their target; can slightly turn around corners. Channeling Solar energy, the Vilicus can launch a swarm of tracking Solar bolts that can burn for a sort period.
