Custodians of Rhulk are Ultra Tormentors encountered in the Gauntlet of VII reimagining of the Exhibition encounter, where they attempt to prevent the Guardian Fireteam from progressing further into the encounter by disarming most of the artifacts there.

Gameplay

The Custodians of Rhulk will begin to appear in the third and final rooms, when the Taken Essence artifact is available to the Guardian Fireteam. The Custodian of Rhulk will spawn in it's enraged state, and will attempt to suppress and harvest the team naturally. Upon spawning, however, the Aegis user will notice that their block function has stopped working and the Shard bearer's beam will begin to flicker and become ultimately toothless against Disciple's Hourglasses and Subjugated Attendants. In order to fix the other artifacts' functions and eliminate the Custodian, the Taken Essence player must utilize their Super function against the Tormentor and kill it in a paracausal blast of Taken energy.
