The Battle of Bannerfall is a brief battle between the Factions of the Concordat and New Monarchy. Following the Battle of the Twilight Gap,[1] the Concordat would attempt to overthrow the Consensus, the New Monarchy would deal a decisive blow to their effort in a tower in the wall of the Last City.[2] Following this, the Concordat would be dismantled by the Consensus, with any of the Guardians who remained pledged to them realigned by Zavala into other factions, such as the Future War Cult, which was elected to take the Concardat's place in the Concensus.[1]

After the conflict, Lord Shaxx would convert the tower where the battle took place into a Crucible arena that would be dubbed "Bannerfall" to commemorate the event,[2] though there was a campaign to have it named "Lysander's Folly".[3]
