The Taken King is an upcoming expansion for Destiny. It will be released on September 15, 2015, and be priced at $40.[1]
The expansion will be showcased at E3 2015.[2]

- New Location: The Hive Dreadnought orbiting Saturn.[citation needed]
- Subclasses: One for each core class.
- Elemental Abilities: Electrical storm (Warlock), gravity bow (Hunter), flaming hammer (Titan)
- New Strikes
- New Crucible maps
- New Raid that pits players against Oryx and the Taken[1]
