A Ghost is a piece of equipment issued to each Guardian.[1] Appearing as a small, floating drone, Ghosts can support the player by performing certain actions such as illuminating darkened areas, repairing technology from the Golden Age, informing the player of incoming hostile threats, and serving as a marker beacon/respawn point when a player's character dies during cooperative play. They seem to possess some degree of artificial intelligence, being able to converse with their masters in a very human fashion.[2]
