Extractor Captains are powerful Captain that appear during Glimmer Extraction Public Events. They were first seen on Nessus and EDZ working for the House of Dusk and wore purple and gold cloaks and armour.
In the Beyond Light expansion, their appearance changed to black and gold armour and they could also be found on the Cosmodrome.
The House of Salvation also deploy Extractor Captains during Glimmer Extractions on Europa. The Captains are notable for their white and blue appearance and feature a blue House Salvation insignia on their headgear.
Gameplay
To encounter Extractor Captains, players need to join a Glimmer Extraction public event and battle through waves of Fallen reinforcements attempting to extract glimmer from a mine.
After defeating them, the Extraction Crew will deploy their Captain in the 3 out of 4 step. The Extractor Captain will spawn with additional reinforcements and can differ in weapon use such as Shrapnel Launcher, Shock Rifle and Shock Blades. They also have high durability and have Arc Absorption shields. Depending on the weapon they use, their gameplay can differ. A Shrapnel Captain is aggressive, while a Rifle Captain is evasive and the Blade Captain is close combat.
Weaponry with Arc damage is effective is breaking through their shields, while heavy weaponry can help defeat the Captains.
