Yaraskis was a Dreg that was part of a House Salvation crew that sought to make a new home aboard Vesper Station, only be taken control by the Corrupted Puppeteer and be brought into its hivemind.
Biography[edit]
Born egg-cousins to Karrho, Yaraskies was part of a crew of House Salvation defectors looking to build a new home aboard Vesper Station away from the violence of the Houses.[1][2] After they arrived on the station, Yaraskies had an unsettling feeling from the place, repeatedly looking over her shoulder and was unsettled by the repeating broadcast from the station's AI, despite Karrho's attempts to ease her.[1]
Six days after their arrival, Yaraskies brought scrap to Karrho's workshop, who told her he was studying some blueprints that he believed could be used to create a means of creating Ether.[1] Eleven days later, Yaraskis continued her duties when Karrho came to her, telling her that another engineer, Paskir, had gone missing after he didn't show up to help him with the station's nuclear power supply and hearing something big in the halls. Yarasis dismissed it, saying that anything big in the station would have starved before they ever showed up, but agreed to help Karrho look for Paskir in the morning.[3] However, they were unable to find him after hours of searching. Twelve days later, Yaraskis took to exploring the station in search of other missing crewmembers while Karrho continued with his work on the generator, finding that a third of the crew was missing. Allthroughout her search, she could hear muted shrieks and the sound of metal scraping metal. Eventually, she made her way to Karrho's workshop, only to find him gone too.[2]
Six days later, Yaraskis would try to hide in Karrho's workshop when she was ambushed by an Marauder that had strange eyes similar to what had been abducting the crew. When the Marauder asked Yaraskis to come to them, she ran. As the other missing crew members came out and called to her, Yaraskis eventually heard Karrho's voice and flees through vents and underfloors. As they head for the Ketch, Yaraskis asked Karrho what was wrong with the rest of the crew, to which he simply replied nothing. When reaching a vent's exit into a wide room, Karrho pushes Yaraskis into the embrace of the Corrupted Puppeteer.[4] Yaraskis would be brought into the hivemind of the Puppeteer, becoming one of its limbs to build the Anomaly.[5]
