Trivia[edit]

  • According to the Classical Poet Ovid, the Greek God Ikelos is the son of Morpheus and is himself the god of nightmares.
  • IKELOS SMG v1.0.1 is a weapon created by Rasputin as a part of his IKELOS protocol, which is meant to provide the Guardians with weapons to fight The Darkness.
    • Other weapons manufactured according to the IKELOS protocol are the Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle Sleeper Simulant, the legendary shotgun IKELOS SG v1.0.1, hand cannon IKELOS HC v1.0.1, and sniper rifle IKELOS SR v1.0.1.
      • IKELOS legendary weapons can be differentiated by the initials between the IKELOS title and the version number (ie, SMG standing for submachine gun)
    • Based on the Sleeper Simulant Grimoire cards from The Taken King and Warmind, it can be inferred that Rasputin's Operation Midnight Exigent is preventing him from deploying his total arsenal to fully defend himself and the system, so he must utilize the Guardians as a sort of proxy through the IKELOS protocol
