The Sanctum Scourge is a Taken Wizard that appears alongside the Sanctum Hoarder during the Stolen Wells encounter in the Obsidian Acropolis arena, serving as the final obstacle of the event.

Gameplay

After enough Havens have been restored throughout the encounter, the Taken Wizard will spawn alongside the Sanctum Hoarder Taken Hydra. Essentially an upscaled Taken Wizard, the Sanctum Scourge will press into their opponents with their Necromantic Gaze and consistently conjure Shadow Thrall keep their opponents on their toes. Like their compatriot and the Sanctum Thieves, the Sanctum Scourge will be protected by a large aura, rendering them immune to all damage so long as they bear it, thus requiring the use of a Guardian with an Ecliptic Mark to strip the Wizard of their immunity and becoming a new safe haven for the Guardians to rally behind.
