The Sanctum Hoarder is a Taken Hydra that appears alongside the Sanctum Scourge during the Stolen Wells encounter in the Obsidian Acropolis, serving as the final obstacle of the event.

Gameplay

After enough Havens have been restored throughout the encounter, the Taken Hydra will spawn alongside the Sanctum Scourge Taken Wizard. As a Taken Hydra, the powerful twisted Vex frame will fire off volleys of Solar Aeon Maul blasts to pound at their Guardian attackers and unleash a Darkness Bolt to disorient them. Like their compatriot and the Sanctum Thieves, the Sanctum Hoarder will be protected by a large aura, rendering them immune to all damage so long as they bear it, thus requiring the use of a Guardian with an Ecliptic Mark to strip the Hydra of their immunity and become a new safe haven for Guardians to rally behind; though stripped of its immune shield, the Sanctum Hoarder will utilize a Rotating Shield to protect it in the haven's stead.
