Revelations is the first Story mission of the Veil of Deimos expansion, but is available to all players. In it, the Guardian investigates the disturbance on the second moon of Mars, Deimos, where they find an ancient evil rising from the depths.

- A small fleet of Cabal Warships along with the rebuilt Aetas Imperator, rests in the skies of Deimos as the surface of the Martian moon begins to show cracks, glowing an ominous green hue. The scene transitions into the helm of the Aetas where Emperor Zor overlooks the scene. He looks down into his hand, holding a shard of the Echo of Conquests.
Zor: Why would you lead me here? What is your purpose?
- Zor looks deep into the shard, hearing an indescribable whisper, growing stronger until a singular voice breaks the silence.
Echo of Conquests: You desire power, unimaginable wealth. That lays there, deep below the surface.
Zor: You are that power. You can give me what I want. I could discard you in an instant, letting you drift in the endless cosmos for eternity. No wielders, no means of achieving your own schemes.
- The Echo starts to glow an ominous green hue, burning Zor's hand, dropping the shard of the Echo from his grip.
Echo of Conquests: I need to be complete again. I cannot help you if you cannot help me.
Zor: FINE!
- Zor quickly picks up the Echo, this time with the other hand.
Echo of Conquests: But, we must bid our time, wait for the perfect moment to strike, and seize our moment.
- The screen cuts to black, and the logo for Destiny 2: Veil of Deimos appears.
