Biography[edit]
Venom of Oryx's champion[edit]
Several decades before the Taken War, Namok rose to power in Oryx's court, becoming a member of his elite task force, the Venom of Oryx. As Oryx unleashed his war across the galaxy, Namok would serve as a front line general and commanded much of his brood. He would serve as the commanding general on the small planet Jasper, overseeing the Blood of Oryx as they carved out the planet with their catacombs. Eventually the Red Legion would touch down on the planet, intent on mining its rich mineral content in order to build their Almighty. Namok would command the Hive in several skirmishes against the Cabal, leading them to victory in almost every instance, so much so the Red Legion called for a tactical retreat from the planet. Namok would ambush a particular crew, armed with several Blood Guard troops. The Knife of Oryx dispatched most of the crew with ease, before a Legionary named Ja'ahn would use jetpack to lank of Namok's neck, before slitting it opens with his solar blade. Namok fell to his knees, grasping his throat as the remaining Red Legion troops escaped, he believed this was his death sentence.
Survival against the odds[edit]
Jasper would be abandoned by the Hive not longer after the Red Legion evacuated, as little conquest remained on the planet. Namok would be left to die on the planet's harsh surface. However he would feed on his conquests to counteract the lethality of his wound, keeping him alive for a short term, he would remain weak and had to crawl the planets surface, where he would find an abandoned Red Legion medical outpost. It was there he finds the means to treat his wound and begin his recover. Namok entered a state of dormancy, keeping himself alive with his previous killings, but conserving his energy wisely as he needed to wait for his injury to heal. Namok would remain in this state for a long time as he could not claim power due to a lack of life on the planet to kill in order to feed his worm.

- Namok's "Knife of Oryx" variant closely resembles a Warmonger Knight.
