Barbarians are a recently adopted Cabal warrior utilized as swift shock troops.
Overview[edit]
Identical in both background and role as a Gladiator, Barbarians are in essence rising Gladiators. Barbarians originally played a role in gladiatorial theaters often depicting the taming slave species or renegade Cabal dissenters to further establish loyalty among the Cabal Empire; predictably, these Barbarians would often be swiftly slain or brought to heel by their more professional counterparts. With developments among the Neon Wraiths, this role would be more adopted into the military hierarchy, filled by aspiring Gladiator units or particularly cruel or aggressive warriors.
Gameplay[edit]
These units are by and large weaker versions of the standard Gladiator role, sporting less health than their blade-wielding counterparts. However, compromising armor for maneuverability, Barbarians are marginally faster than their Gladiator counterparts and are capable of dodge rolling out of more dangerous attacks should any come their way. Additionally, while dealing slightly less damage, the Barbarians can recover from more attacks with their Rendis Gauntlets than the heavy Severus wielding Gladiators and can utilize the integrated shields on them to block incoming fire if it is among the less damaging of weapons fire or if dodging attacks proves unfeasible.
