Argonauts are a heavily armored and elite group of Cabal soldiers first developed by the Neon Wraiths.
Overview[edit]
Although the Cabal are a robust people, many among their ranks have long sought to push the limit of their already incredible strength. While some worked harder, the Neon Wraiths worked smarter, instead researching and developing exoskeleton technologies that would mitigate the heft of equipment, if not entirely, then enough for the weight of some equipment to be bearable enough for their foremost elite. After achieving a breakthrough in this tech, it would soon fall into the hands of their most elite and strongest Phalanx units, eventually forming their elite Argonaut guard units. While these units would flank their leadership, they would also be seen on the frontlines, where they serve as borderline one-man armies.
Gameplay[edit]
These units are, in essence, Phalanxes in Colossus armor. Shield in one hand and 10-round burst Slug Repeater in the other, these units inexorably plod forward towards their enemies, shrugging off even the most devastating of attacks so long as their shields protect them. Occasionally, they can launch arcing 
Rocket Mortars at their opponents, should they be behind cover or require some more firepower to dispatch. They will also use their augmented strength to smash their shield into their opponents should any get too close, more often than not outright killing them, if not leaving them weak enough for any other lowly grunt to finish them off. While they can be dispatched by clipping their arms and legs, Guardians can instead shatter the optical lens on the shield and force the Argonaut to dispose of it to keep an eye on the Guardians. Although without a shield, the Argonaut is still as dangerous as it was with it, with its Slug Repeater easily capable of shredding health bars, rocket mortars powerful enough to dislodge any entrenched opponent and a free hand still nonetheless capable of a powerful punch should a foolhardy Guardian try to get close to them.
