They are predominantly identified by tendrils emanating from their backs, their skin peeling back from their eyes and unique abilities compared to normal Taken.

Some time later, the [[Subjugator]] [[The Resonant Knife, First of the Reshaped|Keit'Ehr]], first of the Dread created by the Witness within the Pale Heart using the Traveler's Light, came to the Dreadnaught in search of the [[Echo of Navigation|Echo]] that had made its way to the derelict craft and hidden itself somewhere within. Upon arriving within the High War, Keit'Ehr noted that the Taken King was dead and his court empty, but it was nonetheless able to hear a "silent voice" coming from the depths of the Ascendant Realm.
