K1 was a late Golden Age project undertaken in the Ocean of Storms on Luna under the direction of Aeronautics of China with the assistance of Alton Bray of the Clovis Bray corporation, which included the installation of an AI known as Firewall, where they were based at the First Light Lunar Installation. The project researched a anomalous artifact discovered beneath the surface of the moon and the mysterious transmissions it was emitting. Many of the project's staff were driven to madness and eventually perished by the Hive during the Collapse, with the remains of the project's outposts becoming occupied by the Hive and Fallen.[1]
