The Gift Mast was a megastructure built by the Traveler around the black hole at the center of the Harmony's solar system.[1] Based on the description and the capacity to generate destructive beams of energy, it seems virtually identical to the hypothetical Nicoll-Dyson Beam: a massive structure which would harness most if not all of the output of a celestial body to create a kind of 'laser.' The Gift Mast is said to have created a 'sting' that damaged even the Dreadnought, a ship similar in size to a dwarf world. This was not enough to defeat the Hive, however, and the Harmony were defeated and exterminated by the onrushing forces of Oryx the Taken King.
