First-person shooter (FPS) is a video game genre. FPS games center around the usage of guns and other projectile weapons in combat, and the action in these games is depicted from a first-person point of view—that is, the player experiences the game through the eyes of their character.

First-Person in Destiny

FPS in Destiny was first shown in the ViDoc Pathways Out of Darkness. Strangely, no Heads-up display was shown, though it is likely the HUD was removed from the footage to allow easier viewing of the surrounding environment. Later on, in the ViDoc Out Here in the Wild, the heads up display was shown. It included slots for three weapons and it's ammo, blue squares that shows an image of a grendae and another that shows a boost symbol. The third square could possibly be for a Focus or a Guardian's special ability.
