The Distributary is the homeworld of the Awoken, located within a pocket universe accessible from our own universe via a singularity orbiting the Sun. It was formerly known as Tributary, as its inhabitants intuited that it existed within an offshoot of a greater time-stream much like a tributary branches from a larger river. Its name was changed to reflect its isolation from the universe where its inhabitants originated.
