The Contact public event featured the first attempt to openly communicate with the Darkness, as well as the arrival of the Pyramid fleet to our solar system.
In the event, the Drifter, Eris Morn, and the Guardian attend a shard of the Pyramid, and use the Drifter's bank technology to collect the traces of Darkness in the local area, for it to be refined and further studied by Eris. The Guardian participates by repelling opposing forces from the bank, and collecting motes of Darkness.
