The project researched a anomalous artifact discovered beneath the surface of the moon and the mysterious transmissions it was emitting. Many of the project's staff were driven to madness and eventually perished during the Collapse, with the remains of the project's outposts becoming occupied by the Hive and Fallen.[1]
