Humanity is an intelligent race originating on the planet Earth. By the time of the game Destiny, Humanity has colonized the solar system, lost all of it too an unspecified enemie, been forced back to a last city on Earth, been saved by an alien construct known as The Traveler, begun to spread back into space, and are currently fighting various alien races for control of the solar system and survival of the species.
The Human race is split up in five different factions: Dead Orbit, FWC, New Monarchy, Osiris, and Seven Seraphs.
All the players are Human and play as Guardians. Guardians are split up in three different classes: Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. All classes have their own special abilities.
