He would later return in ''[[Season of the Deep]]'' in ''[[Destiny 2]]'', where he was resurrected by the [[Lucent Brood]], commanded by [[Šimmumah ur-Nokru|Šimmumah ur-Nokru, Lucent Necromancer]] to assist in defending the ritual of reviving Oryx by [[Necromancy]] and the [[Light]] of a Hive [[Ghost]].

===Court of Oryx===
Vorlog is one of the Tier 1 bosses of the [[Court of Oryx]] Created [[Public Event]]. His peculiarity is his possession of multiple [[Absorption Shield]]s. He will be protected by an [[Arc]] one when first summoned, and if allowed time to regenerate it after it is destroyed, he can change it to [[Solar]] or [[Void]] very quickly. Other than this, one should be mindful of reinforcements, but concentrated attacks with heavy damage weapons will bring Vorlog down very quickly.

===Ghosts of the Deep===
Vorlog, Risen in Heresy will be summoned by Šimmumah ur-Nokru after a player activates [[Deepsight]] for the first time. The Knight will be already infused with a [[Lucent Moth]] as well as highlighed by a glow. He will aggressively rush towards [[Guardian]]s to hack them with his [[Cleaver]]. Even if he is slain, Šimmumah ur-Nokru will resurrect him soon after. Players must kill Vorlog while they are near the correct part of Oryx's corpse, visible through Deepsight. They will know they are near enough by the glowing green circle that appears on the ground. If done correctly, Šimmumah ur-Nokru will teleport to the body part and in doing so weaken the ritual, revealing one of the runes required to begin the damage phase. This must be done three time each phase, after which Šimmumah will stop resurrecting Vorlog.
