# As several of you may know, I have not physically played Destiny 2 since its launch, and indeed have stopped physically playing Destiny itself midway through 2016. This was due to lack of financial resources at the time; I had only an aging PS3, and couldn't play even Rise of Iron when it came out. By the time I acquired the means to start playing Destiny 2, developments in its storyline caused me to sour on it. This leads to part two.

# I have been following Destiny since mid-2014, though casually. This following continued even when I stopped playing in late 2016 all the way to 2018. Destiny 2 was quite promising, it had a main storyline and a tangible villain. But then DLC followed: Curse of Osiris, short and disappointing; Warmind, upended my expectations and broke my suspension of disbelief; Forsaken, the death of Cayde-6 and the end of my caring about Destiny as a whole. Compounding the issue is I had become distracted with other online communities unconnected to Destiny, and I spent my efforts there. Thus, for much of Destiny 2's operational history, it was a marginal issue in the back of my mind. This leads to part three.

# Because of my detachment from Destiny as a whole, I have treated Destinypedia rather callously, and thus I regret not spending more time here. The worst part is I was responsible for the health of the wiki's Discord server, and I had ignored it during my absence, only periodically checking on it. When I came back sometime in the mid 2020s to early 2021 I found a second Destinypedian generation had taken root and flourished in its Discord server. While this community wasn't without its growth pains, it was the best thing I could have asked for. And yet I had still failed you as a whole. I only reluctantly learned the new canon to settle disputes and handle moderation issues. Yet this is unbecoming behavior from a Bureaucrat.

This is a shock to some, but by no means a surprise. I understand why you are thinking what you are thinking, but it is true. My behavior was uncalled for, and only late in my return (2024 thereabouts) did I set about properly appointing new administration to assist, and ultimately replace, me. So upon my resignation, I have transferred server ownership of the Discord server to TheTrueSorrowMaker, and have appointed both Sorrow and Mirror Zero in my place as Bureaucrats to safeguard and develop the community. I have additionally appointed The Man From Overwhere as an administrator.

I shall remain as a Patroller, but with regards to moderation, all positions have been resigned, both here and the Discord server. I urge you to look to your new Bureaucrats from hereon forward.
