Strand was first encountered by the [[Guardian|Guardians]] in the [[Neptune|Neptunian]] city of [[Neomuna]] during the [[The Witness|Witness]]' assault on the [[Sol System]]. Strands of the Weave were visible to the Guardians in many parts of the city, speculated by [[Osiris]] to be a by-product of the [[Paracausality|Paracausal]] influence of the nearby [[The Veil|Veil]]. As the Neomuni lacked a connection with the Light or Darkness, they could not perceive the threads of Strand permeating their city.
